Students registered for a solo (most students taking private lessons grades 6-12) and students registered for the event with their ensemble (most orchestra students grades 7-12) will perform in the ISSMA Solo & Ensemble event at Elkhart High School.

We start organizing the ensembles for this event in October. Solo & Ensemble registration takes place in November.

Specific times assigned and released by ISSMA in early January. Total time commitment for one event is about an hour sometime between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM.

This is the State Level of the ISSMA Solo & Ensemble Event.

Students receiving a Gold Rating at the February 6th event at Elkhart High School are eligible for the prestigious State Solo & Ensemble event taking place in Indianapolis.
