As a way to celebrate the end of our performance year our GJH Allegro and Vivace Orchestras perform in the Music in the Parks festival alternating between Cedar Point and Six Flags Great America. May 15, 2027 we will be traveling by charter bus to Six Flags Great America. Most students choose to participate in this fun event where we perform for adjudicators in the morning, then spend the afternoon having fun in the amusement park and attending an awards ceremony. Registration for the event will begin on February 8th, 2027.

The GHS music ensembles typically take a large trip every two to three years. On non-trip years, we have often brought a high school ensemble to the music in the parks event as well. As this is not a travel year for GHS we would look to do so in 2027.
